Talking Grants with Diane Giovinazzo

With so many grants available for homebuyers, right now is the perfect time to start thinking about purchasing a home. Cecile sits down with Diane Giovinazzo of Univest Home Loans to chat about some of the many grants homebuyers can take advantage of right now.

PHFA K-Fit Grant

K-FIT stands for the Keystone Forgivable in Ten Years Loan Program. It provides 5% of the sale price to qualified homebuyers towards down payment and/or closing costs. It is forgiven over 10 years at a rate of 10% per year. There are credit score and income limitations to this grant. It can be stacked with other grants such as First Front Door or Keys to Equity.

Keys to Equity

Keys to Equity is a $20,000 grant meant for minorities and first generation home buyers. Much like First Front Door, by contributing a minimum of $1,000 towards down payments and closing costs, eligible homebuyers could receive up to $20,000.
